Must be able to safely use tools such as chain saws, snow blowers, wood chippers, etc. Must hold a valid driver&#8217;s license. A Commercial Driver&#8217;s License (CDL) is required since the gross weight of the vehicles operated are over 26,000 pounds and may be used to transport hazardous materials. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Mandatory 24 hour on-call snow removal duty from November 1 to April 1. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles such as dust. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Due to Aunt Iris&#8217; worries about making all the meetings public, we have made them available only to tribal members. We have all the open meetings from October 2007 onward, and are trying to fill in the gaps for the rest of 2007. We only have access to one closed meeting, and that is also available. </p>
<p>In order to access the meeting audio&#8217;s, you must either register to the site, or use the Temporary User information being circulated through e-mail to Tribal Members. Please do not share this information with anyone who isn&#8217;t a tribal member, or else we will have to close the account early. </p>
<p>The temporary account has all the access that anyone would have if they <a href="http://waccamaw.org/content/wp-login.php?action=register">just registered themselves</a>. We are going to disable this Temporary Account after August 15, 2008. By then, everyone should have enough time to register and have access through their own accounts.</p>
<p>Registration is free to all Tribal Members. Registration grants you access to the Meetings, and announcements aimed exclusively towards Tribal Members. Everything else is open to the public. When registering, provide your Tribal ID number, first and last names and phone number so we can verify your member status. </p>

<p>Its Time for congratulations<strong> </strong><strong>again! </strong>This time to Chief Gene Norris, for his management of the South Carolina Indian Affairs Commission&#8217;s initiative H-3798, we call the Marriage bill.</p>
<p>It is (or will soon be) legal for an Indian Chief and/or a Spiritual Leader to perform a marriage ceremony and sign the license as a Chief (or as a Native American Spiritual Leader), if they are part of a recognized Indian entity in the state of South Carolina.</p>
<p>I suppose it would also make sense to congratulated a few of the other Native leaders in the state as well, because, this time as well as last time, under their guidance and perseverance, South Carolina&#8217;s Indians have taken another step forward.</p>
<p>Both bills are awaiting the Governor&#8217;s signature and I will try to get him to do a public signing. <u>Stay tuned</u>.</p>
<p><strong>The Bill passed Thursday, the 5th of June, 2008.</strong></p>
<p>Way to go all,of you who worked on this one. </p>

<p>TO AMEND SECTION 20-1-20, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO A PERSON WHO MAY PERFORM MARRIAGE CEREMONIES, SO AS TO ALSO INCLUDE THE CHIEF OF A NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN ENTITY RECOGNIZED BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA COMMISSION FOR MINORITY AFFAIRS. </p>
<p>Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina: </p>
<p>SECTION&#160;&#160;&#160; 1.&#160;&#160;&#160; Section 20-1-20 of the 1976 Code is amended to read: </p>
<p>&quot;Section 20-1-20.&#160;&#160;&#160; Only ministers of the Gospel <strike>or</strike><u>,</u> <strike>accepted</strike> Jewish rabbis <strike>and</strike><u>,</u> officers authorized to administer oaths in this State<u>, and the chief or spiritual leader of a Native American Indian entity recognized by the South Carolina Commission for Minority Affairs pursuant to Section 1-31-40</u> are authorized to administer a marriage ceremony in this State.&quot; </p>
