There will be a one week delay before posting any webcasts. This means Open Meetings will be posted 2nd Friday of the Month. This is to ensure that anyone needing something edited out may in fact have enough time to tell me about it before it gets posted for all the tribe to hear.

We will only strike content from the webcast provided that a written request (e-mail, PM, hand written letter, FAX, ad nauseum) is submitted to the administrator (Doug Hatcher). This request should make plain the portion to be edited and a valid reason for doing so.

At this point, valid reasons for editing the webcast include, but not necessarily limited to:

Preventing the spread of slander. For example, If someone stood up and announced that Snuffy was a axe murderer, and the claim turned out to be false, We would strike the remark, or if necessary the relevant exchange, from the webcast.

Omitting detailed discussion of tribal strategy that could damage the tribe if the webcast fell in to the wrong hands. Waccamaw.org will not actively work against the tribe. Any explicit discussion of pending court cases (or anything along those lines) will be removed. The full exchange will be kept and posted when the time comes that its no longer potentially harmful.

All edits will be documented with the webcast. There will not be any undocumented edits. Clearly, if it were explained in detail what was omitted, it would be just as bad - if not worse - than if nothing was done, So don’t complain if the explanation is a little cryptic.

The goal of Waccamaw.org is to bolster Tribal Member's ability to communicate with each other and to share their ideas and work together. E-Mail announcements and discussions only go out to some people, and it's easy for them to get lost and never be seen again. A Message Board stores and maintains discussions, and archives them forever and ever. Anyone who can access this Forum must be verified as a Tribal Member in good standing and have a valid E-Mail Address. That way, you can be assured that information is provided only to Tribal Members, and you will know who said it and have a means to get in touch with them if you need to.

Waccamaw.org is owned, operated, and maintained independently of the Waccamaw Indian People Tribal Government. Waccamaw.org is under no obligation to disclose any Private Information to the Tribe, and I will uphold it's obligation to the Community by keeping all Private Communiques private. The PM (Private Messaging System) is indeed Private, and you can rest assured that no-one, not even me, will snoop around and read your private messages.

The WF (Waccamaw.org Forums) Rules are simple.

All members must be in good standing with the Tribal Goverment to use this software.

All users must make avalible their Full Names and a valid E-Mail Address. Nothing is to be posted to this Forum annoymously. If you want to say it, you should put your name beside it.

Feel free to express yourself in this Forum. If what you have to say is Tribal Politics, and would likely result in argument, post it in the Political Forum. If what you have to say would just result in an argument, post it in the Debate Forums. If you don't, we will move them according to our own judgement.

Do not post Spam, Hate Speech, Death Threats, and keep all of your images Safe For Work. Failure to abide by this rule could get your account suspended or worse.

There is no fighting or 'Flaming' on the Forum. It will be moved to the Dump Forum and the Thread will be locked to seal in your everlasting shame.

The WF Staff will not censure you in any way, just so long as you follow these rules. It is our hope that by being allowed to express yourself on equal footing as everyone else, that your rights of public discourse will not be infringed upon. If, for some reason or another, we end up deciding to take action upon your posts because we feel they violate our Rules and Policies, you will be notified and will have a chance to defend your words to a Moderator. Our Moderators will decide on the issue without Bias, and will try their best to uphold your rights.

WF is commited to protecting Individual Privacy and the Collective Privacy of the Tribe. Any infomation posted in a Tribal Member's Only section of the site must not be shared outside of the Tribal Membership. Anything posted in a Goverment Only section of the site must not be shared outside of the Tribal Goverment until the appropriate moderator makes it avalible to Tribal Members.

The Rules are subject to change and grow depending on nessesity. Any Changes will be made in this Forum, most likely to this Thread.

Welcome to the Waccamaw.org Community Forums! This is a (mostly) Private Forum for Members of the Waccamaw Indian People. Here, you can discuss Tribal Politics, The Weather, Spirituality, whatever it is you feel like talking about. Also, there is a Private Messaging System available if you want to talk to any other Tribal Member who is a member.

There is also a Community Image Gallery available, you may use it as an Image Host, or as your own private Photo Gallery. You can upload entire Albums from your home computer to it, and you can share them across the internet if you would like. All Members can add new Albums and post to the Public Gallery. At this time there is no Storage Limitations on the Gallery, hopefully we will never have to add one.

We also have an audio archive of Tribal Meetings. We currently store over a years worth of meetings there, and it is updated after every Open Meeting. All members can listen to every meeting we have on the site. For every one's convenience, you can subscribe to the WIP Public Audio Podcast with your favorite Media Player and download them in DRM Free MP3 Format every month. As of this post, we have over a years worth of Meetings, and we are starting to include Meeting Minutes, The Agenda and all the supporting documents that are made available.

We also host a selection of Village NewsLetters. Hopefully, as soon as the next one is done, we can add it to our site as well. There's also a Community Calendar if you want to keep track of any events going on within the Tribe. If you would like to add something, post about it and we will add it there for you.

I think that covers the main attractions.
