Alan: state museum: Changing Native exhibit for February; can see artifacts
Pauwau
Susan: talked about schools at the last meeting, but SC’s numbers keep going up
Dalton: should we plan for a Pauwau with a cutoff date?
Susan: plan for now; send letters to vendors/ demonstrators explaining that we are in the planning phase
Glenn: add to contract that we can cancel at any time
Drum
Glenn: nothing yet; haven’t been together
Alan: no time with virus
Campground
Glenn: nothing new; driveway too wet
2C John: cost approximately $5875 for sewer project
Glenn: and the light pole costs $700-800
2C John: pursue the project, but may have to do electrical first
Glenn: Do we have to wait to get the check?
Chief Hatcher: do it either way; should receive check this month
Glenn: motion that we wait till the end of February to start sewer project
2C John: do we have to do electrical first?
Glenn: has to be done by the time they finish
Glenn: I rescind the motion

With Marie’s work, hope to get files cleaned up quickly
Chief Hatcher: can everyone change things?

2C Phil: should have a control point
Chief Hatcher: you won’t be able to keep control of the files if everyone can make changes
VC Cheryl: does it give you specific permissions and an audit trail?
Dalton: yes and possibly, respectively
2C John: have a backup person in case something happens to you

Family Day
Dalton: discussion on cooking and having one
Think there’s too much COVID
2C John: don’t think we should right now
2C Phil: no, for the same reason
VC Cheryl: agree with 2C John; hospitals are over occupancy
Think it’s too cold to have it outside
Susan: would like to, but it would be a bad time right now
Numbers keep going up everywhere
If there was any possibility, one person cook the main dish, everyone bring their own side dish
Alan: hold off and maybe do it during the summer
Susan: can do a Zoom gathering
VC Cheryl: did a Zoom party happy hour
Glenn: ok with a few people, but not in a building or a large gathering
Alan: motion to delay Family Day until it’s safe to have a meeting in the office; Glenn seconded

Putting together resources for teachers

2C John and I are working on free GED & operation classes
VC Cheryl has been an excellent asset for education
State has 9 recognized tribes, but only 3 are mentioned in textbooks
Meeting with Spearman (?) to include everyone
Appreciate all of your hard work
VC Cheryl: trying to get other Chiefs involved with the taskforce
CARES ACT: $7500
SCIAC funded at $2500
Carla Goodson asking for honorary/ associate membership to get funding in law school
VC Cheryl: no on honorary
Kevin [D?] wants honorary membership
Susan: University of Florida Pharmacy Training Program
At a pharmacy, ask for the cash price if copay is high
